4An easy to follow Tai Chi workbook
By A
David Carradine’s Tai Chi Workout is a very good book for the tai chi beginner. The sectionalizations in regards to the history and theory of tai chi are written in a manner that any mesmerized Westerner may grasp without being put off by too much mystery.
The best share though, are the photos of each position. These photos are full page size with a short comprehensible statement and name of the stance at the bottom.
This is a great book that you may actually learn from

4Better with the video
By Scott at the Junction
I may perceive other readers having difficultnesses with the photos. My copy of this book in the first place came with a video which shows all the forms and a finish workout. The music is genuinely horrid and Carradine seems a bit smug at times but you in truth see what is going on. Why is it on sale without the video? Has it been re-written to concede for the absence of this?

5Good for beginners wishing to learn this style of T’ai Chi
By Kerwin L. Schaefer
Very good basic intro to one style of T’ai Chi. Warning to David Carradine fans: altho there are a number of photos of David, most of the photos are not of him and it’s not possible to tell how much of the text was actually written by David himself. However, you ought to be competent to learn this form from the book, specially if you likewise have the videotape. It’s always better to have a real live teacher, but this is the next best thing.

@kkdecara I used to watch this show. In fact I think I got acquainted with this before I ever saw the original Kung Fu. There are parts that are relatively unbelievable, at least from my old memories. The origin and the setup don’t mix as well. Y’know, the Shaolin origin and the Kung Fu cop and dad senario don’t mix as well as they should. The old show’s setup was believable as there were many Chinese in the old west. The new show, not so much.

@brianlf62 It’s been released on DVD already! I’m watching it now. But you’ll have to buy it off a German website & set your drive for Region 2. However the original version in English is there. Well worth the price since it won’t see a USA release ever. Video is grainy but that’s how they filmed it! Now waiting for S2!

I have heard several versions of that story. First I have heard Bruce lee was up for the part and the other version I heard that he(Lee) was not up for the part. So, I am not sure if the producers really knew who they would pick. Regardless, I like the show and to say if Lee would have been better or not is anyone’s guess. But its good that lee did not get the show since he died within a few years of the first season of the original show.
